Pastor Geist was raised in a Christian home and trusted Jesus Christ to save him at the age of 13. As a teenager, he was blessed to receive a solid foundation of Biblical teaching as a member of Bible Baptist Church in Oak Harbor, WA. After high school, he followed in his father’s footsteps of military service and attended the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Shortly after graduating, he married his lovely wife Anna. Over the next decade, they lived in Oklahoma, Arizona, Georgia, and South Korea as Andrew completed pilot training and three operational assignments as an A-10C “Warthog” pilot. As they moved around, they joined and served in independent Baptist churches at each duty station and were blessed to learn from each unique pastor and ministry. In 2018 their family was blessed by the addition of a beautiful baby girl.

In 2020 God used the Air Force to send the Geists to Seattle, WA, where they became members of Skyline Baptist Church and served under Pastor Kyle McMillan. As Andrew’s active duty service commitment wound down, God showed him how great the need for pastors is, and in 2023 he separated from the Air Force and moved to Gig Harbor, WA to pastor Beacon Baptist Church.

Pastor Geist was primarily trained from 2018-2023 under the ministries of Pastor Bruce Rosko (Lighthouse Baptist Church, Pyeongtaek, South Korea) and Pastor Kyle McMillan (Skyline Baptist Church, Seattle, WA) in accordance with II Timothy 2:2. He also owes a great debt to countless faithful pastors for teaching, mentoring, and investing in him throughout the course of his Christian life.
